How is ShowUp funded?
As a privately funded initiative, we are fortunate to work with businesses and donors in Eastern Ontario to invest in Black, Indigenous, People of colour and Transgender and Queer creators.
Who can support ShowUp?
We welcome any and all individuals, businesses, and event organisers to support ShowUp.
How are donated funds used?
100% of donated funds are used for micro-grants to BIPOC and QT creators.
Administrative costs (such as web hosting, marketing, etc) and honorariums for the Selection Committee are covered by the founding partners.
Please note that we cannot offer tax receipts at this time.
What do donors receive in return?
Donors will know that their support has gone towards reducing barriers for BIPOC and QT creators who are selling their works at shows. Donors will see the benefits of a more inclusive and diverse maker community.
Donors also have the option of a receiving recognition of their donation on ShowWiz’s Facebook page and Instagram. (A maximum of one mention per 6 month window will be observed.)
